LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh government has issued a directive for all primary and secondary schools in the state to remain operational on Sunday, August 13, in order to execute the Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Mati Mera Desh initiatives as part of the Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav program. As per the provided instructions, special mid-day meals will be extended to all students. The administration under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has meticulously outlined the schedule for the Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Mati Mera Desh activities to be conducted within schools.
In line with this, a poetry recitation competition is slated for students across all educational institutions on August 13. Recognizing the public holiday, the government has stipulated the arrangement of special mid-day meals to cater to all students. The Director General of School Education and Director of the Mid-Day Meal Authority, Vijay Kiran Anand, has issued an official order to this effect.
The circular, addressed to all Basic Education Officers, emphasizes that the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign, a part of the closing celebrations of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav program, will be conducted in all village councils, municipal councils, and local urban bodies from August 9 to 15, in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
Aligned with the government’s directives, various events are also planned in schools on August 13. The communication from the Uttar Pradesh government mandates the uploading of photographs capturing daily activities in schools on the departmental online portal. Moreover, each district must furnish the number of participating teachers and students for the program to the designated nodal officer within the directorate.
